Photography Journey- Date- October 30 - November 7, 2019

All trips are based on Photography - Storytelling - Spreading Goodwill - Friendship

Sherrlyn Borkgren leads this trip through the Guatemalan highlands. On this expedition we'll be there in time to photograph the day after the Day of the Dead called All Saints' Day

We have fun lively editorial photo critiques and share most all meals together to hash over the day and our plans.

Cost $2800.

Includes tuition, hotels and ground transportation

We pick you up at the airport in Guatemala City on October 30.

Physically it's almost easy (1-3)If you want more action there are options to add on such as a volcano climb, canoeing, bird watching and more.

If you aren't sure about the physical level call to talk. We make this work for everyone.

Our travel photography trips are guided by Sherrlyn Borkgren, a 25-year international correspondent.
Step across the threshold into ancient and modern-day Mayan culture and traditions. We begin our journey in the UNESCO Cultural Heritage town, Antigua.

Photographing people and places in Antigua Guatemala and spend sometime lending a hand to others.

When we arrive to magnificent Lago Atitlán we'll boat across the lake to our quaint and lovely Mayan owned hotel on the shores of the lake. It might be the most gorgeous mystical lake in the world.

You'll have the option to climb a volcano, paddle across the lake in a canoe or simply meander around the town with your camera. There is so much to photograph you'll want to bring plenty of flashcards.

We will boat to nearby villages to photograph culture, visit some Mayan back strap weaving cooperatives, visit a locally grown coffee farm (when in season) and engage with awesome local Mayan painters.
